Monthly Board Meetings 

Held the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm (unless otherwise noted) at the Recreation Center, located at 400 S. Highland Ave. 

Public Participation in CRC Board Meetings


  • Individuals should fill out a Public Agenda Request Form identifying the the issue they wish to address.

  • Groups are encouraged to appoint one spokesperson.

  • Presentations should be limited to 5 minutes.

  • The Commission will not make a decision on information presented until the next scheduled board meeting, at the earliest, unless the matter requires immediate attention.

  • If the matter which the individual/group wishes the board to consider will consume an inordinate amount of time, the board shall invite the individual/group to return to the next scheduled meeting.

  • Issues specific to personnel are not appropriate for public discussion and should be directed to the Executive Director or Board Chair.

Request To Receive Notice

Chanute Recreation Commission regular meetings are located at 400 S. Highland Ave and held on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm, unless otherwise pre-determined by the Board of Commissioners. June and July regular meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 5:30pm.
Meeting notices are posted on the Chanute Recreation Commission website, social media, front entrance, and in the Chanute Tribune.
 
Under K.S.A. 75-4318 individuals, agencies and organizations can request notice of date, time and place of any regular or special meeting of a public body or agency. Notice may be provided by email or U.S. Mail.

Indicate if you wish to receive via email or U.S. Mail.
 
 
The public body or agency may require that a request to receive notice be submitted again prior to the commencement of subsequent fiscal year (June 30).
